General questions
What are Aifcandles LED candles made of?
The exterior of our LED candles is made from 100% paraffin wax, giving them a natural and atmospheric look. Please note that you should not place the candles in direct sunlight or in warm places, as the wax may melt.
Can the candles be used outdoors?
All Aifcandles LED candles are made of wax. This means they are not suitable for outdoor use, as the wax can be damaged by sunlight, moisture, or temperature differences. If a special outdoor version becomes available in the future, this will be clearly stated in the product description.
Are the candles safe for children and pets?
Yes, LED candles do not emit heat or fire, so they are safe in a home with children and pets. Please note that the candles are made of real wax and are therefore fragile. It is therefore better not to place them in places where children can easily reach them.
Are the LED candles fragile?
Yes, our LED candles are made of real candle wax (paraffin) and can therefore break or crack if used incorrectly.
Which batteries do I need and are they included?
Most candles run on 2x AAA batteries. At Aifcandles, the batteries are always included, which is also clearly stated in the product description. This way, you can enjoy the candle at home right away, or give it as a gift immediately.
How long do the batteries last?
Depending on the type of candle and batteries, up to 100 hours of burn time. We recommend replacing batteries every 3 months for optimal results.
What are the small silicone rings that come with the LED candles for?
Our LED dinner candles come with small silicone rings. You can slide these onto the bottom of the LED candle to make the candle extra stable in the candlestick. This is useful when you are using a (slightly too large) candlestick or when you simply want to place the candle more securely.
💡 Usage & Features
How does the LED candles' timer function work?
For the LED dinner candles, you (gently!) push the flame on top of the candle down once. The candle turns on, stays lit for 6 hours, and then automatically switches off. The next day, the candle turns on again automatically at the same time.
For LED candles with a slider on the bottom, set the slider to TIMER or ON. If there is no separate TIMER setting indicated, the timer function is automatically integrated into the ON setting.
How does the remote control work?
All LED candles have a 6-hour timer function. For example, if you turn them on at 7:00 PM, they will automatically burn until 1:00 AM and turn on again at 7:00 PM the next day.
The remote control is optional and provides extra convenience. With it, you can turn the candles on or off temporarily without disturbing the set timer. For first use, you must turn on the candles manually so that the remote control connects. Always point the remote control at the candle and use it within a range of 3 meters.
Which LED candles can I use the remote control with?
Unfortunately, not all LED candles (yet) work with a remote control. If "RC" (for Remote Control) is in the title, then the candle is suitable for remote control operation. This is also always clearly stated in the product description.
Can I operate multiple candles with a single remote control?
Yes, you can! Provided the LED candles have the RC (Remote Control) designation. All candles compatible with the remote control can be operated simultaneously, as long as they are within range and you aim the remote control at the candles.
Can the LED candle be placed in any candle holder?
For most Aifcandles LED candles, you will need a candle holder with an opening of at least 2.2 cm. For the dipped Pillar LED candles, which are often slightly thicker due to being dipped in two layers of wax, a candle holder of 2.3 cm or more is recommended.
It's better to choose a slightly too wide candle holder than one that is too narrow. A holder that is too small can cause the bottom of the candle to break off more easily. Feel free to use the included silicone rings for extra stability with a wider candle holder.
Additionally, we advise against constantly switching the candles between holders; it's best to leave them in place to prevent damage.
My LED candle doesn't turn on anymore, what can I do?
– Check the batteries and replace them if necessary.
– Check that the + and – poles are correctly inserted.
– Is the timer function still on? Wait until the cycle restarts or remove and reinsert the batteries.
